Who We Are
Who are the founders of your business?
Competitive Edge Design is a limited company founded by Kevin Craighead (Creative Director, Web) and Melanie Morris (Creative Director, Print). Melanie worked in London for a major design agency with clients such as Disney, Hasbro, Universal & Fox Studios. Kevin worked as a Solutions Consultant in London and Aberdeen helping design computer systems for multi-nationals such as BP, BT, Conoco & Barclays Bank.

How many customers do you have?
Since 2002, Competitive Edge Design has helped almost 50 public and private sector businesses of all shapes and sizes, such as Sir Digby Jones, Ryedale District Council, North York Moors Partnership, North Yorkshire County Council and Castle Howard with various projects. And we love each and every one of them.
What kind of technology do you use?
Whatever works. We've got Macs and PCs on our desks, and we carry around iBooks, PowerBooks, and laptops. We run OSX and Windows. Our web development work is done mostly on LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl) platforms, but we dabble with other platforms and programming languages all the time. All our graphic design work is sketched on paper, mapped out on whiteboards and done on Macs!
